Car Transportation

Urban Recovery provides a national car transport service, whether your car is road worthy or not we can transport it from one location to another. Our fleet of modern well maintained transportation vehicles and trained staff will ensure your vehicle is delivered efficiently and promptly to your chosen destination. Our fleets of vehicles travel throughout the UK on a daily basis and our prices are very competitive. While in our care your vehicles are fully insured against damage, we carry a comprehensive goods in transit cover insurance policy that ensures your vehicle is fully protected.

Our staff are experienced in dealing with a range of non-typical vehicles, including low clearance sports, classic, and high value prestige cars. In addition to our full UK coverage we can transport your vehicle to or from European destinations.

Scrap Car Disposal

Urban Recovery provides a nationwide free car disposal service if you no longer require your vehicle either because it is uneconomical to repair following an accident or due to MOT failure. Urban Recovery provides this service for free to enable customers to disposal of their unwanted vehicles in a cheap and a environmentally friendly manner. Urban Recovery will collect your vehicle at a convenient time and ensure the vehicle is depolluted (hazardous parts are removed for reuse, recycling or disposal) before the vehicle is scrapped. Storage

Urban Recovery operates from a 24 hour manned secure compound. We typically store cars for parties pending the agreement of insurance claims, if required we can bill insurance companies direct for our services.

Should we provide an accident recovery service for a customer then, if required, we will provide 48 hours storage free. Note: The free storage is only for customers who have been involved in accidents.

Maintenance

Urban Recovery transport cars and light commercial vehicles for private and trade customers, our primary concern is that the vehicle being transported is delivered promptly and in the same condition as it was received.

To this end all our vehicles are kept in a roadworthy condition at all times. All our transporters are subjected to a daily walk-around check to ensure that the day to day running of our vehicles goes smoothly, any defects are reported and rectified immediately. Over and above our daily inspection we also subject all our vehicles to a 6 weekly inspection by a qualified independent workshop, these inspections are effectively a six weekly MOT and this ensures any potential defects are caught and rectified at an early stage.

Our vigorous inspections schedule ensures that all our vehicles are maintained to the highest of standards and helps us to provide the level of service to our customers that they expect.

Driver training.

Although our drivers are experienced and trained in vehicle recovery/transport we continually monitor their performance and give additional training or refreshers if and when required. When our drivers are on the roads we are not only representing ourselves but also our customers, we therefore ensure that our drivers possess the relevant people skills to maintain the level of professionalism that we all expect when dealing with the general public or third party customers.

Vacancies

We are continually on the look out for enthusiastic hard working drivers holding LGV C & E, LGV C or 7.5 tonne licences. Our recruitment checks are rigorous., each candidate will have their performance and experience assessed all candidates will have the following checks carried out:

• The license details are checked with a copy retained on file if successful.
• Driver’s background and driving experience will be verified through references.
• Driver will have to meet our requirements with regard to cautions and disqualifications.
• Driver's should have a full working knowledge of relevant working practice legislation, including permissible driving hours and safe vehicle loading procedures.

Any successful driver will be joining a highly motivated team and will be competitively rewarded.

From our main base in Birmingham we are within 2 minutes from M6 J5 in a perfect location to offer a rapid response time for our customers. We can be on the M5 and M42 within 10 minutes and M54 or M6 Toll within 15 minutes. With these sorts of response times our customers can rest assured that if they do breakdown we will get to them quickly.

We will have you back on the road and continuing your journey as soon as possible. We have multiple bases around Birmingham to ensure that if you breakdown or need a vehicle transporting we are best placed to do the job.
